• Hyundai will give new EV buyers a free home ChargePoint and $600 off installation - The Verge --> Hyundai is offering up the ChargePoint Home Flex Level 2 charger on the Hyundai Home Marketplace. The charger is currently listed at $549 on the website and supports up to 50 amps, which could get you around 37 miles of driving range per hour of charging. The additional $600 installation credit applies only to services ordered through Hyundai’s website.

• Jaguar adopts Tesla's EV charging network, joining other automakers (cbtnews.com) -->Luxury vehicle manufacturer Jaguar is the most recent automaker to adopt Tesla’s EV charging network.

• China updates its EV charging standard, claims cross-compatibility (greencarreports.com) --> China, the world's largest new-car market and the largest market for EVs, will continue with its own national DC fast-charging standard.

• Nissan Isn't Making a NACS, CCS EV Charging Adapter for Leaf Owners (thedrive.com) --> Nissan will soon switch to delivering vehicles to the U.S. and Canada with NACS ports as standard, but the Leaf won't be getting that upgrade. The Leaf is now the only current EV on the U.S. market to still use CHAdeMO, which never quite caught on.

• Cyber Switching unveils Level 2 EV charger (thebuzzevnews.com) --> Cyber Switching is announcing its new EV charging station, the Cyber Charger C1. Built with commercial properties and multi-family homes in mind, the company said its 48A Level 2 charging station is cost-efficient and reliable, with an uptime of 99.97%.

• BMW, Ford, And Honda Intend To Optimize EV Grid Services (insideevs.com) --> Three automakers - BMW Group, Ford Motor Company and American Honda Motor Co. - jointly announced an agreement to create ChargeScape, LLC, a new equally-owned company that will create a single, cost-effective platform connecting electric utilities, automakers and interested electric vehicle customers in the United States and Canada.According to the press release, the plan is to leverage years of cross-industry research around the Open Vehicle-Grid Integration Platform (OVGIP) to manage energy usage for a broad pool of EVs.

• The Detroit Auto Show Had A Cool Combined Wind+Solar Tower For EV Charging - CleanTechnica --> The Wind & Solar Tower (WST), an internationally-patented hybrid power station, showcased its groundbreaking capabilities at the North American International Auto Show in Detroit. Powered solely by a combination of wind and sun, this innovative tower represents a remarkable achievement in clean and efficient energy. During the exhibition, a 1:18 scale model demonstrated how the tower could charge electric vehicles with off-grid power, surpassing existing alternatives in terms of cleanliness and efficiency. Notably, a full-sized tower operated flawlessly for an impressive five years, even withstanding two hurricanes.
